Shahjahan Sheikh News: The clampdown is continuously being tightened on Shahjahan Sheikh, the mastermind of the attack on the ED team in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday (March 14) conducted raids through Shahjahan Sheikh in connection with the land grab and ration scam case in and around Sandeshkhali. ED has registered a case under PMLA in this matter. Altogether, raids have been conducted at four places.
In the ration scam case, ED officials have raided fish traders in Rampur in North 24 Parganas district in the presence of a large number of central forces. The houses of many fish traders have been raided here. These businessmen are close to Shahjahan Sheikh who is in CBI custody.
Before the violence in Sandeshkhali, in January, the ED team had reached Shahjahan Sheikh’s premises to raid in the ration scam case. During this time the ED team was attacked by Shahjahan’s supporters. CBI is now investigating this matter. After the court’s decision, along with the custody of Shahjahan Sheikh, the case of attack on ED has also been transferred to CBI. This is the reason why CBI has now summoned Shahjahan’s brother Alamgir Sheikh.
ED team will be interrogated in the attack
It is believed that the CBI team is going to interrogate Shahjahan Sheikh’s brother Alamgir regarding the attack on the ED team. The team that came to conduct the raid was attacked by a mob of 3000 people. Many officers were also injured in this. CBI wants to know about Alamgir’s role in gathering the crowd. Shahjahan is already being considered the mastermind of this attack, but it is being said that he would not have carried out this work alone.
CBI is investigating mobile details
The CBI, which is investigating the attack on ED officers, is searching for evidence from every angle. In this context, CBI told that on the day of attack on January 5, Shahjahan had called 28 people. The surprising thing is that he made these calls within 30 minutes. He made these 28 calls through his two mobile phones. It is believed that he had made so many calls to call people for the attack.
At present, a list of people whose names have been found in Shahjahan Sheikh’s mobile has been prepared. The people included in this list are being called one by one for questioning. This includes some village heads and district level leaders. CBI is questioning them as to what Shahjahan Shaikh had told them before the attack? It is expected that after this inquiry, more important information regarding the attack may come to light.
